Cleaning the floor requires a bit of research into costs, installation times, and the need for cleaning and maintenance. Below you will find our guide to three different types of flooring and how they differ in their maintenance demands.

Woven Vinyl Flooring(LIKE BOLON, NTGATE, FINICE, ECO BEAUTY)

Woven vinyl flooring, like our Flooring Pro®(Brand ECO BEAUTY) Woven vinyl flooring, has become the solution for many designers and architects where durability and ease of maintenance are just as important as style and appearance.

With a vacuum cleaner, cleaning brush and stain remover, 99% of cleaning demands can be achieved. How? Well, since dirt is not allowed on the carpet backing (as it acts as a surface barrier), woven vinyl flooring is really easy to clean.

Daily Cleaning:

You can read more about flooring maintenance methods in our website theflooring.pro.

Deep Cleaning:

Woven vinyl floors be thoroughly cleaned from time to time. Especially if the floor has been kept in poor condition or has been heavily soiled for another reason, then it can be restored to almost new condition by using an Orbot floor machine and warm water.

Still not Clean?

In the toughest areas, an all-purpose cleaner with a pH of 9-11 will do the job. Get more detailed information on deep cleaning woven vinyl flooring here.

Rules:

Do not use wax-based cleaning products. Stick with water, a scrub brush, and occasional cleaning with a universal cleaner.

TEXTILE Carpet

Daily Cleaning:

The best way to keep your carpet clean day to day is, of course, walking without shoes, but also avoid walking barefoot (if you can resist). Human feet have natural oils that come off the carpet and those oils act like a great dirt magnet, so it is a good idea to always wear sneakers or calcetines.

Textile carpet require much more cleaning than wood and vinyl flooring. Vacuuming the carpet every other day is not a bad idea. Change the vacuum cleaner filter every six months to ensure that contaminants are not being blown into the air.

Deep Cleaning:

How often the carpet should be cleaned depends on the amount of traffic the area has. Since carpets are like sponges and absorb visible and invisible dirt, it might be a good idea to hire a professional cleaner to clean them with steam once a year.

Rules:

Never let the stains on the textile carpet set, just clean it immediately. If you happen to spill a glass of red wine (which is nightmare of all carpet oweners …) on your cream-colored carpet, use club soda to dry the affected area with a white cloth or white towel.

Wooden Floors

Often cited as the best floor material in the home, decking is durable and flexible, as it allows you to choose a finish to suit your taste and décor. Plus, it often looks better over the years, if you take good care of it.

Daily Cleaning:

Wood floors only require sweeping or vacuuming and occasional cleaning with a special wood floor cleaner.

Deep Cleaning:

Since dirt, oil, and grime will build up over time, hardwood must be thoroughly cleaned from time to time.

First of all: get rid of large particles of dirt.

• Use a neutral pH cleaner and avoid too much liquid on your floors by using a fine mist.

Rules:

• Use a microfiber mop to clean as it does not remove excess water on your floors.

Hardwood floors are handcrafted and classic, but do yourself a favor and don’t choose hardwood floors for the entire home. While it makes sense to install wood flooring in most areas, wood is not a good choice for a room that gets wet frequently, such as a laundry room or bathroom.

General Tips:

Although all these floors are different from each other, there are some basic things that apply to all types of floors.

  • Clean regularly – Don’t spend too much time go by between days cleaning your floor. Especially if you have pets, as it is impossible to prevent dogs and other animals from carrying a lot of dirt and dust with them during the fall and winter season.
  • Get a doormat. This little addition to a home or building entrance could make a great impact. Using doormats can be very effective in reducing dirt and dust.
  • Protect your floor from all kinds of liquids. Liquid spilled on your floor? There’s no major drama, but getting in the habit of cleaning up spills right away is crucial.

A little love and daily care of your floor goes a long way in the long run. With proper maintenance, your floors will retain their beauty for many years to come.
